Ho Kan, Soonik Kwon
The shape of space, the rhythm of time — as dots resonate and dissolve into eternity, The Bards of Time and Space rekindles the spiritual core of ‘abstraction’ within the East Asian context. The exhibition opens with works by Ho Kan, a pioneering figure in Chinese geometric abstraction, and Soonik Kwon, a leading contemporary abstract artist from Korea.

Dust is impermanence, it is the everyday, the residue and continuation of matter after weathering. Gold is the glimmer of light, the sediment of belief, the echo of a spirituality that cannot be corroded.
Jiro Kamata
The Mode of Art— Celestial Eyes ‘It is quite exciting to think about that the light from universe and starlight includes a millions of years of time and information of cosmos.’ -Jiro Kamata
Kingsley Ng, Stephanie Cheung
After the rain, a few raindrops clang onto the power cable. Pulled by gravity, they glided and glittered against the colourless sky. Crossing is a two-part multimedia installation. Taking the history of Kinma Military Hostel as its point of departure, it approaches time as a continuum.
James Turrell
For over half a century, the American artist James Turrell (b. 1943) has worked directly with light and space to create artworks that engage viewers with the limits and wonder of human perception. His fascination with the phenomena of light is related to his personal, inward search for mankind’s place in the universe.
Hailing Wang
‘Celestial Eyes’ poetically explores the optical spaces within Jiro Kamata's artistic creations, guiding us on a mesmerizing journey. Filmed by director Hailing Wang, she engages in a dialogue with the artist's work, using a microscopic perspective to delve into the play of light and shadow, capturing the colors and imagination born from their flickering and pulsing rhythms.

If we take a drive to the tea house near the museum, on the hillside of the Shoushan mountain, we could see the ocean beacon the unknown.
Yasumichi Morita
The sensory world unfolds like a universe in front of us all. In the eyes of the philosopher Henri Bergson, the senses evoke subtle feelings as the human body is exposed in a naked state to the cosmos.
Shao Yung-Tien
Titled “Infinite Voyage,” the exhibition presents Shao’s faith in not only the gods but also in his affection for the land of Alian District in Kaohsiung City, his hometown. This, again, echoes his connections to the land, plants, farming, and nature in a spiritual way, as to achieve the unity of Heaven (gods), Environment (homeland), and People (agents of artistic practice). The idea that “destiny forges one’s nature, which naturally leads to the way things are,” a Confucian idea, points out that people should follow the way of Heaven, based on which they perfect their moral practices.
