Composed of 168 metallic spheres suspended as if floating upon water, the installation moves in rhythmic formations—transforming into imagery drawn from nature, the precision of mechanical coding, and poetic calligraphy—evoking a profound sensory delight.
Through unprecedented programming design, the choreography of the work invites contemplation, guiding viewers to reflect upon the history of this city.
Its tranquil rhythm also reveals the city’s evolution—from a humble fishing village, through industrialization and maritime trade, to the post-industrial international commercial hub it is today.
ART+COM Studio
Founded in 1988, the ART+COM creative collective brings together artists, designers, and computer engineers who believe that programming languages are not merely tools of communication, but that technology itself holds the potential to become a medium for artistic creation.
Over the past three decades, ART+COM has been dedicated to exploring the dynamic interplay between art and technology, developing innovative works that connect future-forward technologies with refined aesthetic expression. Through this pursuit, the collective has become a pioneer in media space design and technological art.
